ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY STATEMENT

We are committed to providing a quality service in a manner that ensures a safe and healthy workplace for our employees and minimise our potential impact on the environment. We will operate in compliance with all relevant environmental legislation and we will strive to use pollution prevention and environmental best practices in all we do.

    We will:-

  • Integrate the consideration of environmental concerns and impacts into all of our decision making and activities,
  • Promote environmental awareness among our employees and encourage them to work in an environmentally responsible manner,
  • Train, educate and inform our employees about environmental issues that may affect their work,
  • Reduce waste through re-use and recycling and by purchasing recycled, recyclable or re-furbished products and materials where these alternatives are available, economical and suitable,
  • Promote efficient use of materials and resources throughout our facility including water, electricity, raw materials and other resources, particularly those that are non-renewable,
  • Avoid unnecessary use of hazardous materials and products, seek substitutions when feasible, and take all reasonable steps to protect human health and the environment when such materials must be used, stored and disposed of,
  • Purchase and use environmentally responsible products accordingly,
  • Where required by legislation or where significant health, safety or environmental hazards exist, develop and maintain appropriate emergency and spill response programmes,
  • Communicate our environmental commitment to clients, customers and the public and encourage them to support it,
  • Strive to continually improve our environmental performance and minimise the social impact and damage of activities by periodically reviewing our environmental policy in light of our current and planned future activities.

HEALTH AND SAFETY POLICY STATEMENT

The unarguable philosophy of Bunel Services limited is that all potentially hazardous situations can either be avoided or controlled. We therefore adopt a proactive approach to the management of health and safety and subscribe to the principal of preventing problems rather than having to react.

Our prevention policy means that consideration of health and safety has to be a fundamental part of all Bunel Services operations, (whether undertaken at the company offices, on a construction site or in Client’s premises) and supports compliances with the Health and safety at work Act and other regulations applicable to the Scope of our activities.

At Bunel Services, we understand that our employees are our greatest assets and we also acknowledge the fact that it is our responsibility to provide them with all necessary guidance, resources and support to ensure that a healthy and safe working environment is maintained and to prevent injury and ill health. We also acknowledge the fact that it is our responsibility to show due consideration for the health and safety of others who may be affected by the work carried out by Bunel Services.

We understand the importance of effective health and safety management as a business tool to improve both our performance and our reputation and are aware of the high importance our clients place on our commitment to health and safety.

Bunel Services have made it a policy to maintain a comprehensive health and safety management system which ensures that all aspect of the company operations internationally are considered and the health and safety implications addressed. The system comprises a written policy, procedures, operational instructions, standard forms and HSE guidance for use by project managers, site based personnel and Engineers, supported by Bunel Services own health and safety department and where necessary external safety advisors. This system is constantly reviewed and continually improved.

Our Health and Safety policy is aimed at ensuring no harm comes from persons involved in our operational activities by:

  • Complying with statutory requirements
  • Effective health and safety management and supervision
  • Structured safety training
  • Effective internal and external communication
  • The participation of and consultation with our employees in health and safety management system implementation
  • Constantly providing adequate guidance and support to our employees
  • Control and evaluation of sub-contractors

This policy implementation involves effective participation of all employees at all levels within Bunel Services and at all locations at which Bunel Services is employed.

The effectiveness of the system is subject to review by the company’s management to ensure its continued adequacy and effectiveness.

The ultimate aim of Bunel Services Limited quality management system is to ensure that we are:

  • Providing customers with high quality installations and services which meet requirements and are fit for their purpose.
  • Operating our activities to comply with the systems required by ISO 9001: 2000.
  • Enhancing the skills of management and staff through review and actively pursuing an on-going training policy, the objective of which is to prepare staff to perform their work more effectively.
  • Promoting the culture of continual quality improvements and the philosophy of getting things “right first time”.
  • Rigorously controlling the supply, installation and completion to programme of all projects.
  • Promoting the quality management systems and ensuring implementation is achieved by internal auditing, management review, corrective and preventive action.

WASTE POLICY STATEMENT

Bunel Services waste Policy reflects our commitment to waste management that meets and exceeds legislative and regulatory requirements placed upon it.
The Aims of the policy is to:

  • Identify and minimise waste and its effect to the environment associated with company activities
  • Where possible identify other uses for items that were to be discarded. In addition, utilise re-useable packaging that can be returned to suppliers.
  • Produce a site waste management plan in a view to source segregate and recycle a minimum of one component that would be classed as general waste from our regional offices.
  • Reduce to the very minimal waste sent to landfill through continuous review and management.
  • Liaise with various Environmental Agencies on regular basis to review best practices, up to date Knowledge and maintaining good working relationship including advice as and when required.

To achieve its objectives, Bunel Services is committed to:

  • Preventing pollution, reducing waste and maximising the efficient use of materials and energy.
  • Using products that are sustainable, reusable and recyclable were technically and economically viable.
  • Minimize the effect and level of pollution, nuisance and disturbance to public, local and ecosystem.
  • Reviewing all its actives with the intention of issues that may have significant impact on waste protection
  • Encouraging subcontractors and supply chain to comply with this policy
  • Provide necessary training for staffs at every level so they understand and contribute to the implementation of this policy.

Waste will be stored, carried, processed and or disposed of in accordance with the principal of duty of care. Waste will be stored in compliant and suitable secured and sealed containers and location pending disposal.

This policy will be implemented, monitored and reviewed in accordance with ISO 14001.
